If you have any questions about how we handle your personal data, please email us before submitting a complaint.

What data we collect and why

Add-in subscribers

When you install and activate the tech+bash Excel Add-in, we collect your email address. We use this solely to verify that you hold a valid subscription and to manage your account.

Legal basis: contract — we need your email address to provide the service you have subscribed to.

Customers making a payment

When you purchase a subscription, your payment is processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Stripe collects and stores your payment card details directly — we never see or store your full card number. We receive your email address as part of the transaction record, which we use to associate your payment with your account.

Stripe’s own privacy policy governs how they handle your data: stripe.com/gb/privacy

Legal basis: contract — processing is necessary to fulfil your subscription.

Data services clients

If you engage us for bespoke data processing services, any personal data included in the data you provide to us is governed by a separate Data Processing Agreement (DPA) which we will put in place before work begins.

Website visitors

This website does not use tracking cookies or behavioural analytics. If we enable analytics in future, this policy will be updated.

How long we keep your data

We retain your account email address for the duration of your subscription and for up to 12 months after it ends, in case of billing queries or disputes. After that period, we delete it.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • Stripe — to process subscription payments (see above)
  • Microsoft — your email is verified through Microsoft’s authentication system as part of the add-in installation flow

Both Stripe and Microsoft maintain appropriate safeguards for data transferred outside the UK.

We will disclose data to law enforcement or regulators if required by law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Erase your data (subject to our legal obligations)
  • Restrict or object to our processing
  • Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@technbash.com. We will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
